Install Speech API

If you have installed Windows 2000, then you have Speech API 5.1 already.
If you do not have software for speech synthesis - Speech API, then:

Install the last version software for speech synthesis - Speech API 5.1 from Microsoft Speech Server

Large quantity of freeware voice engines was created for old software for speech synthesis - Speech API 4.0, use:

1. Download Microsoft Speech API 4.0 - spchapi.exe (827 Kb)

2. Download voice engine (Text-To-Speech, TTS).

Freeware Lernout &Hauspie Text-To-Speech
(2,5Mb, men and women voices):
American English
British English
German
French
Spanish
Italian
Russian
Portuguese
Dutch
Japanese

Shareware Digalo Text-To-Speech engine

Spanish, Italian, Brazilian, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Latin American Spanish.

You can install on your desktop both Speech API 5.1 and Speech API 4.0.
LearnWords supports Speech API 5.1 and Speech API 4.0.
If you want to use the voice engine to Speech API 4.0 then check a tag "Use old Speech API 4" (see "Options \ Sound")
