LearnWords supports dictionaries of various types that allows to use the big variety of forms of training (studying of words, phrases, grammar).
All types of dictionaries to program LearnWords and rules of their creation in the editor LearnWords Editor are below listed:
Simple
Each record of the dictionary will consist of three fields: "Word" - an learned word,
"Phonetics" - a phonetic transcription or any comment, "Translation" - translation.
With categories (studying by semantic groups)
Each record assing with some category.
For creation of the list of categories use the form of 'Categories' (Tools \ Categories).
Grammatical dictionary (it is connected to studying of grammar - a set of rules for drawing up sentences)
Each record of such dictionary represents a separate lesson: for the specified sentence,
it is necessary to choose the correct form of a verb from the submitted variants.
The sentence should be written in a field "Word" (an example: "I have to get my photograph (take) for a new passport").
Variants of answers should be written in a field "Translation" and the first variant is true (an example: "taken|took|take"),
the symbol "|" should be used as a divider.
Dictionary with the prescribed set of exercises (studying of phrases)
Such dictionary automatically establishes a set of exercises in it specified.
Creation of this type of the dictionary is caused by complexities of learning of phrases.
At learning phrases are inconvenient such exercises as the "Mosaic", "Select translation/word", "Writing"
Therefore for learning phrases it is better to use exercises "Card" and
"Guess translation", automatically having excluded the others.
It is possible to create any set of exercises individually for the each dictionary.
In the editor LearnWords Editor should be specified the type of the dictionary in the form "File\ Save".
For the dictionary with the prescribed set of exercises are marking "To load only these exercises"
and further are marking those exercises which you want to include in set.
For grammatical dictionary are marking "Grammar dictionary".
